Resources

At our workshops we share resources to help Christian leaders support young people as they navigate the challenges of pornography and sexualised content online. Below are some of our favourite tools, books and websites to help equip leaders with practical guidance and resources.

  • Take It Down

A free service that helps remove or stop the online sharing of nude, partially nude or sexually explicit images of young people under 18 from the internet. Based in the USA this service can be used by young people anyone in the world.

  • No Escape Room (Interactive Video)
Watch this seven minute interactive video with teens and experience what it feels like to get trapped in online sextortion.

  • Moral Revolution YouTube

God's not ashamed of sex, so neither are we. We'll have any conversation and answer any question. No topic off limits. This is a helpful YouTube channel for young people wanting a healthier, hope-filled understanding of sexuality and relationships. It speaks openly about topics like porn, desire, identity, and intimacy from a Christian perspective, without shame or fear-based messaging.

The content is engaging and easy to relate to, making it especially helpful for teens who want practical encouragement and a different way of thinking about sex, relationships, and living with integrity.

  • Bishuk.com

A guide to sex, love and you.  For what your Sex Ed left out.

IMPORTANT: Please note that Bishuk.com is not a faith-based website, and it contains content that, as Christians, we would not typically endorse. However, we recognise that some older youth in your community may not be connected to a Christian home and could benefit from external support. We encourage you to exercise wisdom and discretion in deciding who to share this resource with.

Conversation Starters

We’ve created tools to help make these conversations easier.

  • Pornography Conversation Starters
Suggested questions to help you begin talking with young people about hypersexualised media and pornography. Please read the first page before embarking on these conversations.

Research and Information

  • Growing up with P*rn - NZ Classification Office Report:
52 young people around NZ chose to talk at length about porn and what they are facing. Great read if you parent teenagers. This report shows that our teens want their parents to talk about porn.

  • NZ Youth & P*rn - NZ Classification Office Report:
2000 young people (aged 14-17) throughout Aotearoa were surveyed on their porn use. This can be hard to read but interesting to grasp what is happening in Aotearoa, from a teen perspective.

STOP Services

  • www.stop.org.nz STOP provides specialist support, education and resources to help prevent harmful sexual behaviour and promote healthy relationships.

  • 2 min video showcasing Press Pause A quick introduction to Press Pause and how to make the most of this resource.

  • www.presspause.co.nz‍ ‍ Explore practical tools to get conversations started, including free downloadable kōrero cards that can be printed and used with young people.

Female Support Resources

  • Authentic Intimacy

A helpful resource for young Christian women navigating questions or struggles around sexuality, p**nography, fantasy, and erotic literature. It’s led by Juli Slattery and focuses on understanding sexuality through a biblical, grace-filled lens rather than shame.

For many young women, it can be a place to better understand what they’re experiencing, why it matters, and how to move toward healing and freedom in a way that connects faith, identity, and real-life struggles.

Male Support Resources

  • The 7 Invisible Lies That Keep Christian Men Chained to Porn by Mason Cain

This short, practical resource helps young men identify some of the hidden beliefs and thought patterns that often keep them stuck in p**rnography. Rather than focusing only on behaviour, it gets underneath what’s driving it, things like shame, secrecy, isolation, and false beliefs about identity and freedom.

It’s clear, easy to read, and designed to help you start seeing the bigger picture so you can take real, honest steps toward change and freedom.
